! Understanding "Spending Surplus"

Your Spending Surplus is the difference between all active 0% Transfers on a card and that card's Actual Balance.

Green (Positive) Surplus: This means you have more 0% credit secured than debt owed. Effectively, this is your Emergency Buffer—money you can spend on the card without triggering immediate high interest rates.

Red (Negative) Surplus: Your debt exceeds your 0% arrangements. You are likely paying standard interest on the difference.

Debt Payoff Strategies

ZeroBasis is a tool to help you manage and visualise your debt. Here are common strategies you can use with this data:

The ZeroBasis Strategy (Time-Based)

Focus on the Expiry Date. Prioritize paying off transfers that are about to expire. Use the dashboard "Expiring Soon" warnings to avoid reverting to standard APR.

The Avalanche (Interest-Based)

Mathematically the most efficient. List all debts by Interest Rate (highest to lowest). Pay minimums on everything, but throw all extra cash at the highest interest debt.

The Snowball (Momentum-Based)

Psychologically rewarding. List debts by Balance Size (smallest to largest). Pay off the smallest balance completely first to get a "quick win" and build momentum.

App Workflow

  • Add Cards: Input your credit cards and bank accounts.
  • Log Transfers: Whenever you move money (Balance Transfer, Money Transfer), record it here.
  • Promo Spending: If a card has a "0% on Purchases" offer, enable it in the card settings. The app will auto-calculate your spending as a virtual transfer.
  • Update Monthly: Update your balances manually as often as you want, but try to do it at least once a month when your statements are released.

1. Data Accuracy & User Responsibility
ZeroBasis is a manual tracking tool. The financial data displayed is entirely dependent on the inputs provided by you. We do not connect to banking institutions.

2. Not Financial Advice
The calculations and expiry warnings provided by ZeroBasis are for informational purposes only.

3. Fair Use Policy (Premium)
To ensure high performance, security, and stability for all users, "Unlimited" Premium features are subject to a reasonable Fair Use Policy. System limits are hard-capped well above normal human usage (e.g., 50 active accounts and 200 concurrent transfers). ZeroBasis reserves the right to restrict or suspend accounts that use automated scripts or exhibit malicious usage patterns that threaten server stability.

4. Subscriptions, Cancellations, and Refunds
4.1. Billing: ZeroBasis Premium is billed on a monthly basis. You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time via the "Settings" page in the App.
4.2. Cancellations: If you cancel, your Premium access will continue until the end of your current billing period. You will not be charged for the following month.
4.3. Refunds: Monthly fees are generally non-refundable once the billing period has started. However, if you are a consumer in the UK/EU, you have a statutory right to cancel within 14 days of your initial purchase ("Cooling-off Period"), provided you have not significantly utilized the Premium features during that time. To request a refund under this policy, please contact support@zerobasis.app.

Privacy Policy

1. Data Storage
Your data is stored securely using Google Firebase services.

2. No Banking Connections
We do not collect banking login credentials.

3. Payment Information & Third-Party Processors
ZeroBasis does not process, record, or store your credit card, debit card, or bank account details on our servers. All payment transactions and subscription billing are processed securely by our third-party payment partner, Stripe, Inc.

When you upgrade to ZeroBasis Premium, your payment information is transmitted directly to Stripe via an encrypted connection (SSL). Stripe uses and processes your payment information in accordance with its own Privacy Policy. You can read more about how Stripe protects your data here: https://stripe.com/privacy
